This project was completed during the summer holidays and involved replacing the old conventional fire alarm system with an Advanced Electronics MxPro5 analogue addressable fire alarm panel and Hochiki devices. The fire alarm system also serves as a lockdown alert in times of emergency. At the same times we upgraded the emergency lighting installing self-testing luminaires in areas where the emergency lighting was insufficient.
This dated annexe building was completely stripped out and a new electrical system installed. Using Collingwood Lighting luminaires controlled by a home automation system we designed and installed the lighting system, with space being tight we have to be imaginative with where the LED drivers and controllers for the lighting system were located.
This project was spread out over a couple of years manly due to Covid-19, with the garage being build first and then the summer house.
We were asked by an existing client to design a new lighting scheme replacing the ageing luminaires. Working with Hacel Lighting we installed a combination of LED and metal-halide luminaires. Along the centre Nave we had made plaster shrouds for the columns to hide the up and down light fittings. The new lighting scheme made an energy saving of over 6KW and reduced maintenance.
The schools old fire alarm system was in need of upgrading and we secured the project on offering good value. The school site has several buildings and we installed a Kentec multi panel analogue addressable fire alarm system, networking 5 fire alarm panels and 2 repeater panels. The whole project was installed over night so as not to interfere with the school’s operation

One of a long-standing client were expanding their business and taking over the next-door office space to make a new workshop and boardroom.
We were approached by Clive from Prins Forklifts to install lighting and power in a Spray Booth which they were building. They already had two quotations and was looking for a third. We informed them that a spray booth is classed as a hazardous area and we could not quote, as we were not approved for hazardous area working and special light fittings would be needed. The other two contractors had not informed Prins Forklifts of these facts.
